Child Support, Medical Support,
& Maintenance

Parents have a duty under Wisconsin law to financially support their minor children. A party to a family court matter may seek an order for child support [§767.511], medical support [DCF 150.05 and §767.513], or maintenance from a spouse [§767.56]. The administrative guidelines, definitions, and how to calculate child support can be found in DCF 150.02 and DCF 150.03-.04. Important Note

If Grant County Child Support is a party to your case include the Child Support Office when scheduling future hearings.

All orders for child support and/or maintenance shall be provided to the Grant County Child Support Office.

If the court orders child or medical support, or you and your spouse agree on child and/or medical support before the final divorce or legal separation is granted, prepare and file an Interim Financial Summary to Child Support [form FA-612].
